What is it ?

Hey, I havnt been on in a long time. anywho, i was looking in my car this morning and found this piece falling out of my console near the carpet at the shift ( auto)

Anyone have a clue its broken off something.

Wanna get an idea before I remove my console for the 10th time ....

If an automatic possibly a swing linkage piece to the brake/shift interlock solenoid.

ok I figured it out now, it is the shift position detent claw. it just makes the audible click between gear selections.. no big deal.
