Sync voice commands not working

I recently picked up a 2008 SES Focus, and I cannot seem to get the sync commands working. I press the voice button on the steering wheel and it asks for a command. I shout the command and it doesn't hear me. It will eventually start telling me commands I can say. I try to say cancel and I'm continually in this loop. I'm not sure if it is broke or where exactly the mic is located. Any ideas on how I can get it working?

I seemed to have gathered the mic is in the mirror. I have checked the fuse for the mirror and it looks good. The harness is securely plugged into the back of the mirror.I'm guessing the mirror needs to be replaced?

Go in the menus and do a reboot/restart/reset whatever it is called. That has always solved issues for me. Also do some searching here and find out how to make sure you have the latest software version.
