Having to replace the thermostat housing on an 08 focus s and the housing is behind the air intake. We're trying to find fast or easy way to get to it and am just taking the entire front bumper off right now. If theres any better ways to get to it please let me know thanks

The Ford shop manual doesn't mention removing the bumper, but maybe you're finding it easier that way? Here's what it says: Drain the cooling system. Remove accessory drive belt. Remove 2 nuts and reposition power steering tube. Remove cooling fan motor and shroud. Remove three fasteners, and reposition a/c compressor. Disconnect radiator and heater hoses from the thermostat housing. Remove thermostat and housing.

I don't think your 2008 is different from my 2009. I didn't remove bumper. Long needle nose pliers are a great help. Just the right extension for your socket is a big help.

I got it figured out later that evening. I just removed the radiator and passenger headlight and had a straight shot to it.
