OEM Ford Struts arrow direction

My new OEM Motorcraft struts arrived in the mail today (MOF-ASTL50, MOF-ASTL51).

I'm stuck at work so I haven't been able to look at them yet, but I've been reading a lot about there being an arrow on the top hat that either faces toward the engine bay or to the front of the car. I want to make sure I install them correctly because apparently it can affect the camber and caster.

So, do the arrows face A. toward each other (toward the engine bay) or B. towards the front of the car?

Thanks

I dont know about an arrow but there will be a tongue on the bottom of the strut that slides into a slit on the knuckle. From there you just match which side the end link attachment and brake line mounting point is.

See here, brake is the C at the bottom of the picture, tongue is on the back side, lowest point. then the endlink attachment is higher up on the left. Just match that to the part you take off, the two struts will be mirror images of each other. This picture is the passenger side (assuming i have my orientations right )

Once you get started, you will be able to compare with what is on the car. They will only go one way (assuming you want to reattach your sway bar and brake line

That only takes care of bottom alignment, the top plate (separate from the spring top plate) can turn 360 degrees as well to mismount the top plate if it is at an angle.

Look at old struts coming off as they immediately come off, they will be marked too. Or the bolt holes may look like evenly spaced but are not, slightly off to be mounted one way only.
