Halo Projector Headlights High Beams

Hey guys,
I really want to get a pair of Halo Headlights for my 2010 Focus. Only issue I see is that I see some post say that they don't get high beams after changing over. Why is this? Is this only on the HIDs? Is this illegal to not have high beams?
Also, would you guys only go with Anzo? Or is Spec-D ok???

No high beams with HIDs, high beams with halogens.

You CAN have high beams with the HIDs but it requires splicing and soldering some wires on the driver side headlight. Passenger side works fine. I did it previously.

In my 2009, I had high beams for both types of headlights. Not sure if it will be any different for a 2010.

The hi/low beam works like a visor that restricts the light beam for low beam and moves out of the way for high. It is operated by way of a solenoid that moves a shield up or down inside the reflector portion of the headlamp.

The idea is to cut off the upper portion of the light beam to avoid blinding oncoming traffic. I believe it uses an H9 bulb.

I have a set of these and really like them.
