How's the output in them? Did you get the driving beam?

Thanks! I love them too. Although I must admit I like the look of the D2's in your grille better. I know many peoole wire things through where the the clutch petal goes in our cars (but I didn't really feel comfortable doing that), so I didn't know if you found another way. But I eventually saw the wiring grommet and ran mine through that too.

Yes, I have the driving beam and these things are insane! When I took the attached picture it was only starting to get dark. When its pitch black the light output is nuts!

Glad to see someone else sporting rigids, best of the best!

Haha, yes I feel the same way. The headlights seem even worse now. I felt bad about the price of these, but after even one day I feel they're totally worth the price.

Not being an ass or anything but why not just build a good set of projector headlights and some LED projector fog lights and not need 6+ sets of lights on your car??? Also you can legaly run them on the road..

Because projectors cannot compare to the output and range of light output when compared to these. As I said in previous posts in this thread, the roads in my area unlit and very hilly and curvy. The projectors & high beams on my 14' Escape aren't exactly good enough at some points while driving.

Also, I hate the only projector headlights sold for our car, and cutting out the fin things in my stock headlights to retrofit them is also a deal breaker. Fogs are also for lighting right in front of the car, not over a long distance. So they're unrelated to my issue.

I also have projector fogs already. And like I said, they still only project a few feet in front of the car. Legally. I'm willing to take the chance by using these when nobody is around me on a two-lane back road to avoid hitting a deer or something.

Thats because they don't use good projectors.

The Ebay projector headlights suck too. They are also halogen projectors not HID.

You don't have to cut out the fin things to retrofit projectors.

Retrofit some Lexus LS460 or Acura TL projectors and never look back.

All projectors are different. Some are great with wide beams, some have great low beam but not high beam. Just gotta do some research and decide on what you need.

I think the Escape's are great, actually. They're fantastic most of the time. I'd say 10% of the time they don't go high enough away from the center of the beam. And since they don't turn it's not great to see around the sharper corners.

I know the eBay ones are crap and also halogen projectors, but I hate them because (and no offense to the people who have them, this is just my personal preference of course) I just think the halos and LEDs on the top and bottom are ugly. I just hate everything about the way they look.

Anyways, everything I've seen about retrofitting our housings says the fin things get in the way of the lower part of the beam. Did you happen to find projectors that work good / are close enough to the lens to get around the fins? Or do you use fog lights to fill in the bit of light that the fins block or something?

By the way, I think yours looks sick! I've never seen them, like I said EVERYONE I see cuts the fins out.

I'm in the same boat as you DaMiFo, the projectors would be great, but I like to have the leds because of deer, in my area they jump out from just about anywhere, my lights are actually pointed slightly to the sides, to light up the bush and fields next to the highway! And the range on them is unbeatable, with different beam patterns, you can get anywhere from 10-600m, no headlight can do that
