04 to 05 sedan rear swap question

So I'm an idiot and while it was raining backed into a tree. it only damaged the trunk lid thankfully. but I've been meaning to do the 05 rear swap however I just noticed that the tail light housings have a different number of bulbs

how exactly does the swap work electrically I'm willing to work out the wiring but I don't want to lose cruise or miss any critical bulbs

As you know the '05+ cars use one bulb to do the brake/turn & running light vs the earlier one bulb for the turn signal & another for the brake/ running light. So you'll need to get the sockets as well as the housings. You'll need to splice two positive wires into one as well as the grounds to the '05+ sockets. I prefer the earlier 2 bulb setup, yea cost cutting measure.
