My car had 3/8 tank, was going uphill and I turned right.

Would this happen immediately? Would it outright die or go weak? How can I find out more about this fuel pump phenomenon? IDK as we have an easy way to measure fuel pressure on Foci.
I had this happen a few years after I bought my 2001 SE DOHC Zetec in 2004, I was the second owner. It turned out that there was a layer of dust sludge in the bottom of the gas tank, it would cut out when I was pulling G's on a right hand turn, especially uphill. There is a filter inside the bottom of the gas tank, which my mechanic said was a pain to deal with.

Hey guys to revive an old thread but it did it again. Tonight I was sitting in a drive through after workand the car died. It cranks great but wouldn't start. Few minutes later it fired up. Bogged down on the interstate. I put it in neutral and it died getting off the ramp I was right by. By the time I got to the stop sign it fired back up and drove the next 5 miles home fine. I filled up before stopping for food. The car did this once back in December. I thought it was the fuel filter but the but I changed that back after Christmas and it happened again tonight. I felt it buck going down the road last week. I hear the fuel pump when I turn the car. Doesnt mean it is for sure a good pump, but it definitely primes. Definitely seems like it runs when I turn the key though. Did it to my wife again this morning.

Either have the fuel pressure checked or replace the pump.
