Drivers seat pretensioner help needed !

2003 Focus spent all day getting pretensioner for my car because a friend did a deep scan with an Autel and said I need to get crash recorder cleaned and rewritten AND pretensioner shows bad. I got one out of a 2000 that mounts to seat but seatbelt light won't go off.
Well I think mine is retractor/Pretensioner combo located in pillar. As some I saw were like that.
The driver's front just has a 2-wire buckle in mine.
But the passenger seat uses pretensioner mounted to seat. WTF FORD ? I only spent $13 for it but apparently it is for an earlier model. He undercharged me but the retractor/pre-tensioner combo those are $35....still cheap !
Can somone verify mine is in the pillar or did I plug wires in wrong? BTW mine was built October of 2003 !!! Essentially an 04.
It was in a minor fender hit that didnt activate airbag per previous owner. But nonetheless the crash data recorder and pretensioner need to be fixed.A place in Georgia does it for $49 guaranteed 24 hrs. turnaround. I need a belt in there so I can drive it if mine needs to be sent in.
If the pretensioner on drivers side was activated why does the retractor still work?
Frustrated in Riverside , CA.
They have 12-15 Focus Mark 1s right now and have other yards with more. Should I be looking for the pillar mounted one? Anyone need a good seat mounted pretensioner?

Fixed it myself. Pretensioner on driver side is in B pillar and found the connector had popped off !
Free fix. Also when I was in there found my car had been wired for a sub ! I was going to do that soon.

Let's correct some terms here....

The seatbelt is attached to a tensioner. (a tensioner actively puts tension to a seat belt)
The belt buckle is attached to a pre-tensioner. (a pre-tensioner only puts tension on the belt during a crash event)

Wrong...on my driver seat it is just a female buckle. Passenger side the explosive charge is part of the female receptacle and the charge tightens the belt.
On driver side explosive device is built into the retractor...not the seat buckle.
The retractor tightens up MORE when charge goes off.

The 4 wire pretensioner I got is what is used on driver side of earlier models.
2 wires for seat buckle indicator
2 wires for activation of pretensioner charge.

The pretensioner code for drivers side is GONE.
Plugging in the yellow connector FIXED IT.

Jut got a pretensioner and data recorder out of a run and drive Focus like mine that was just put in yard recently. No crash damage.
My friend has the interface and software to put my VIN in it.
His scan showed mine has bad Pretensioner and data stored in recorder.
Exactly the year and model as mine !
Even had PZEV sticker on window. Wish I could have got sticker off. 2.3 PZEV.

Here is used ACM from Focus in yard numbers all match , ready for VIN to be written to it.
Also verified old Pretensioner was bad by 2 different tests. It failed the rattle test and the resistance test. New used one passed and is in B-pillar.
