Front side marker light problem

My wifeís 03 ZX3 is a California car with 2.3 engine and the PZEV emissions sticker.

My dilemma is that when I try to re-bulb the front left side marker, I canít reach up inside the fender well as the ownerís manual shows because the area is totally filled with the much discussed non serviceable air filter.

Short of disassembling a bunch of intake components, is there any way to get at the back of the bumper mounted side marker?

I canít seem to find anything by searching here or on the web in general so any help would be much appreciated.

i usually take the bolts holding the wheel arch plastic off and any underneath if you have a cover and just pull the bumper away (not pulling hard enough to break the plastic mounts on the bumper to fender bracket) and just squeeze my hand diagonally up to the socket
