Windshield interchangeability

Like it states, curious if they're all the same. Can't get more than a, "different part numbers" from the dealership. I saw some window trim for sale, stating it fit 2000-2007, so theoretically?

I have a 2006 sedan for reference. All I can find are 2000-2004 at the yard.

The problem is the newer polyurethane seal they use now, almost impossible to get the glass out without chipping the edges and then the new glass breaks in under a year from the stress risers the chipped edges make. What the glass replacement industry will not tell you.

The trim is now simply a bulk strip cut to length and bent at corners and useless as it has to be installed on the glass before the glass is installed in the car. Why it says fits multiple years, used on other cars as well.
