Things to do whilst inlet manifold off 1.8 duratec collapsed pcv hose

Hi ,
my 07 focus 1.8 petrol duratec has heavy oil consumption and no.3 spark plug continually fouls up and misfires i bit the bullet and removed the manifold and found the pcv hose to the oil seperator split, I was also getting very high blow back via the oil filler cap ( i tested using the card over the hole and it wouldnt get anywhere near suction just continual blowing off) both the seperator and inlet manifold is heavily gunged up with oil and sludge. and the rocker cover breather is putting oil into the airbox

once the manifold is back on i will be carrying out a full engine flush and new oil and filter in the hope that sticking rings may be freed

I need some advice on a few things if any of you good people can help

1. best way to clean inside of inlet manifold
2. If i carry out a pcv delete can i vent the crankcase tube to the atmosphere below the car and do the same for the rocker cover breather if so whats the best way to do this will sensors be affected?? i dont really want a catch can set up,
3. i have read about the swirl flaps of death is this applicable to my engine and whilst the manifold is off is it best to get rid of the whole flap assy
4. any other things to do whilst manifold off what sensors or valves need to be cleaned or checked

I appreciate the time anyone takes to offer their advice

thank you

A catch can is a great upgrade...I'd also do a egr delete thru a tune, clean out the t/b. You could remove the flaps & leave the shaft in the i/m or figure out away to plug up the holes, or get a new i/m to begin with. IDK how many miles you have. A new i/m will get you where your at now or more. A/T fluid does a good job of cleaning out the engine, just drive easy & don't beat on it. 20-50 miles of easy driving......Of course swap out the pcv hose & valve.

thanks for the reply Felix
car has done 90k
i didnt want to go down the route of catch can as its an old engine and as its been getting massive presssure blow back through the cap and oil in the cc possibly via the rings or valve seals i opted for the get rid of the whole recycling of gases idea
been working on it today i have stripped the pcv elbow of all its internals and run a new house down the route of the dipstick tube and left couple of inches below the sump and blocked the inlet manifold hole.
the top cover breather outlet i have routed down the bulkhead and again exited it couple of inches behind the sub frame
cleaned all the throttle body and manifold egr is new so i presume it was fitted by previous owner so left cleaning it (good move or not?)
not sure how to check flaps for wear
if i removed the flaps and rod and plugged the holes either end what do i do to the valve thingy (not sure what it is called) mechanism at the end and the vaccuum pipe thats connected to it
ran out of daylight so looks like my day off and relaxing has just gone for a burton !!!!

runs like a dream now only time will tell if piston rings are shot and it wasnt crankcase pressure forcing the oil into the cc
will run it for a month and see if oil consumption has improved
sump plug bolt was rounded off completely so god knows how long its been without an oil change
used liquid moly engine flush off amazon its german and the had good reviews

TOP TIP FOR THAT CENTRAL 10MM MANIFOLD BOLT (THAT IS JUST ABOUT THE WORST LOCATION THAT THE IDIOT FROM FORD WHO DESIGNED IT COULD THINK OF THE PCV VALVE COMES A CLOSE SECOND !!!!!!! )
PUT IT IN THE HOLE FIRST , BLU TACK BOLT TO SOCKET AND EXTENSIONS ATTACHED AS YOU LOWER THE MANIFOLD DOWN GOT IT FIRST TIME

ANY IDEAS HOW YOU RE CLAMP THE AIR BOX DUCT BACK ON TO THROTTLE BODY THOSE CLIPS ARE CRAZY GOT A CABLE TIE ATM
