Bad transmissio after gas tank recall service

Hi All,

I have a 2012 hatchback titanium with 185,000 miles. I recently had the gas tank recall performed. Since then I have been having very hard shifting and now a P07A3 code. Could they be related? It does not seem likely but there was no issue before? Should I push the dealer more? I was hoping to hold on another couple of months before trading it in. I am assuming it is not worth fixing it since the repairs that I see are about $2,000. About what the car is worth.

Any advice?

Thanks!

The clutch was replaced about 30,000 miles ago.

Yeah. The tcm was replaced at 50000. 180,000 miles and only one not routine repair. I got my money's worth

That's awesome. You only hear about all the transmissions that go low mileage on here. Nice to hear one go high mileage.
I wouldn't think the recall will cause that code.

Nor do I. Going shopping today for a new car. Not worth fixing. It has been a good car.

Shame all these MK3's are going to end up in the junkyard with DCT issues. Maybe check a few prices for repair at least?
