2003-2007 Ford Focus ZX5 brake lights stay on a fix no one would think of

Hello I wanted to share my experience with my new focus a 2003 focus ZX5 Well my brake lights would stay on so I replaced the shift interlock solenoid, well that wasn't it they stayed on. So I changed the brake switch on the brake pedal that did no good either the rear brake lights stayed on, and the dealer didn't know about this but the third brake light on my hatch wasn't working so I was reading on another forum how they changed all the bulbs on the third brake light and it WORKED, the brake lights started working normal and no longer stayed on when the car was in neutral or drive. They go on as a warning that the 3rd brake light is faulty.

Nissans have the rear brake lights go on for a number of things not concerning the brakes at all. It's used as an attention getter.
