2003 zx5 2.3 auto, no start

2003 ZX5 2.3, AUTO, its been sitting for about 2 years outside, got frustrated with strut repairs. NY weather. New battery, new starter, fusable link cable shows continuity at fuse. Key is good. Anti theft light works as it should. Key turns power on to vehicle but no starter function. No click. Nada. Alternator was replaced just before it was parked. Started fine before it was parked. I suppose alternator could have gone bad sitting but would that cause no start. I have tried jumping and that made no difference. Any help appreciated.

Give him the 500 page book, if they use ethanol in the local fuel then the 100 page Ethanol Addendum too.

Way more than one thing wrong there likely.

On my '04 the wiring harness to the starter corroded (the copper connector was so bad it broke in half when I touched it). Went from starting fine to nothing at all in a week of sitting. You would likely have noticed when you replaced the starter, but maybe not.

Alternator connections likewise. Grounds from the battery to the fender tend to corrode too.

Did everything work once it was replaced originally?
