03 wont start, it cranks and gauge cluster and interior electronics are dead!

My 03 zetec will not start, I had it running yesterday before heading home from being family and as we were about to leave the gauge cluster went blank, tripometer, and door open lights were off, my cigarette lighter, ac and radio went dead, but the engine was still running.

I shut the car off, nd it would not restart, it would crank but not start. Then the gauge cluster was showing odd lights, like check fuel cap and high beams, even with the key out of the ignition

I checked all fuses but couldn’t check relays, only had a few hand tools.

Next tried the inertia switch, which was fine

Then I pulled the gauge cluster and fuse, and then there was no cranking as I messed with the immobilizer, sadly wasn’t thinking about that.

Now the car won’t start or do anything, there is no power, battery is good, but I have no clue where to start!

Please help, and I think the car must have been pissed at me as I m buying an st on Wednesday this week lol

Battery ground cable for the engine. Remove, inspect, clean the cable and connections, replace.

Also check the wiring where it comes through at the top of the hatch door...these cars are notorious for cracks/breaks there causing weird electrical issues. Simply tape over exposed wire or splice if they're actually broken.
