I have now found a simple solution and that is I found on Ebay a glass mirror for 3 pounds that can be placed on top of the old one without removing any parts, I just hope its glue is strong enough so I don't have to deal with this issue again.

Used to sell them, the glue tape used there can release in bitter cold.

I would use solvent to remove the tape and then use 3M mounting tape that is the strong one that holds 50 lbs., that stuff will NOT be coming off.

The second glass will likely stick up enough to cut you when mounted so be aware of that. Might be better to dunk the whole plate in solvent to remove the entire old glass.

Will the folding mirrors on the SVT and European Foci fit on my 2007 Focus SE wagon? I recently found a pair for sale on CraigsList.

the svt / 2005-2007 zx4 st mirrors fit any 00-07 foci.....they are just foldable and body colour matched....

although the wiring for the heated part may / may not be in your car if that matters to you.....

That is what I wanted to hear. Thank you. Alas, the pair on Craigslist are now gone. I will have to keep looking. On my first Focus, 2002 ZTS, I backed up and my side mirror hit a large trash bin ripping the mirror right off and dangling by the wires. My other Fords (Windstar and Freestyle) have had the folding mirrors and similar incidents have resulting in no damage or just broken glass.
