Engine not shutting off 2016 Ford Focus Titanium

Push start shuts down computer and electronics but engine stays on even after car is “off” and locked.
Engine will also not turn on from time to time, And the led lights always come on after car is off and locked.

Very frustrating because I have to detach the battery anytime I park the car for longer than an hour so the battery doesn’t die. As well as having the frustration of the car not starting or not turning off everyday.

The car has already been to my local Ford dealership shop for 3 days, which they were “unable to replicate” any of the discribed issues so nothing was been fixed.

I’ve had the car back for 24 hours and the same problems are continuing. I have taken a few videos to show the shop when I bring it in next, but since they were unable to help last time I’m not confident that they’ll be able to do anything this time around either.

Has anyone ever experienced or read about this issue(s) in last forums?

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Please reach out again to the local dealership/s (call them) and talk with the service mangers for additional help. Your new-er car is likely still under warranty, so help should be a call or click away.

There is also a channel here to forum-talk with a Ford rep, that thread is here->

That thread seems quiet or dead, but maybe use those contact phone numbers to see if they answer and can help you.

Gd luck

Also, if local dealership is not helpful, maybe call the next nearest local town/local city dealership to see if they have a better ear, better attitude, better information about your car problem. Ask them to share info from car technicians ((off the record)) who might have advise, why your car is doing that.

I am sure Ford Dealerships do not do this for legal & money reasons, BUT people who care do help, -even them!!... -kinda like focusfanatics.com members like me, minus BOTH money and legal reasons.

No laws broken or payment needed for my efforts. Or...??? I will send you my payment options via PM. Please reply with your banking account & routing number for further near-worthless help.

Cheers
