Advice troubleshooting Apexi EBC?

I've been using an Apexi AVCR boost controller for several years with my old internal w/g turbo setup.(worked great) The vac line to the solenoid was hooked up normally open, and the com port to the int. w/g. Just built a new motor and now running an external gate but car is over-boosting the target psi with EBC hooked up. I have the vac line ran to NC and the com port to the bottom w/g port. I have tried plumbing the vac lines different ways but it over-boost. I would think the AVCR should be similar to others running ext. w/g with EBC.
-I hooked up solenoid on the workbench and tested with 12v and air compressor and it seems to work
-Inside controller is reading accurate boost pressure along with the pressure sensor
-Ran a dedicated vac. line from the manifold to the solenoid
What else? Any ideas?? Thanks!
