It can't hurt, but if ur staying on stock internals, you won't need too. you if you are doing a massive NA build and trying to push 9k rpm, then yes, but you will not need it if boosting. plus if you cannot do it, then you're looking at big bucks for it.

I don't know that there is any reason to do the rod bolts, if the motor were to fail (bottom end) if will most likely be a failed piston from deto or bent rod.

really high hp v8 guys replace the eagle rod bolts with arp bolts. but i see no reason to do it on your car. all of us are making plenty of power with the stock or eagle type rod bolts with none of us ever having a problem out of them. like egbertnr said, it will most likely be a ringland from bad fuel or tune or a bent rod from to much power.

The Eagle rods come with ARP Rod bolts , The guys that change them go from the 150,000? to the 200,000PSI bolts but I find like stated if your going to have a failure its not going to be a rod bolt
