And as our debt rises...China owns more of us.
https://www.thebalance.com/u-s-debt-...it-own-3306355

I'm sure the GOP would complain if a Democrat was president, so are they setting up the next President for a media conflict over what has grown under Trump?

Of course China is one of the biggest leasers of Trump tower.

https://www.forbes.com/sites/danalex.../#16452ccb48f9

So what's the gain? If the dollar falls, China gets less yuan for their debt, if the yuan falls then China wins more- especially if they reclaim debt while the yuan is low, then bring it higher after the debt is paid. It just baffles me how so many "Boomers" who were once budget hawks, and complained about how our children were going to have to pay for years for our mistakes could simply turn their backs on this.

We are headed for a big recession. The only thing keeping us afloat now is wishful thinking. Most companies on the Dow are overbought and overvalued. It probably won't happen until after a new president is elected. Right now all the danger signs are there, but the market keeps pushing on. It's a high level of enthusiasm that we've not seen before. It could be due to the massive tax cuts on the wealthy, and so now wealthy people's brokers are keeping the market afloat, but once sentiment turns- it could be a cliff that we all fall off of.

Agreed, all big crashes start when overvalued and overleveraged meets a sell-off, for whatever reason. If people stood pat in '29, the crash would have been less drastic, and a consolidation of services, buying/selling assets, and temporary reduction in labor forces (especially, along the supply-line for auto making... shipping, coach-building, assembly, fastener manufacturing, steel mills, foundries, mining) would have led to a simple recession and rebound. But mass movements of people (PC) always creates new opportunities and new disasters. The wealthy who have courage and foresight always emerge with more wealth than before. It's the less wealthy who cause the crashes, barrowing money to invest, with the hope of a higher return against their interest... they need their money, and they panic and cause collapses.

It's an inherent fault of capitalism, "the greed principle". People blame human nature in general, since human nature is also the reason capitalism succeeds, as well as fails, but not everyone is both greedy and panicky. We are currently watching "the greed principle" setting-up the un-wealthy for a fatal beat-down, globally. Banks/S&Ls will be forced to foreclose on their loans to be able to pay their debts (reason for the bank-welfare bailout of 2008... prevent dissolution of banks), but will go out of business anyway, due to foreign debt that will lead to war.

Think... people drowning in their SUVs, because they live in them with their kids, down south, and can't buy gas to drive away from the floods. Nothing, absolutely nothing, Trump is doing will aid the situation, instead he (also the GOP) is making the collapse happen sooner, and removing social and financial buffers. Too bad the Dems are torn between the status-quo Pelosi-led capitalists and the game-changing Sanders/Warren-led socialists... they will be unable to help, even if Sanders or Warren were elected. Trump is doing the exact opposite of MAGA... he is making us weaker and more vulnerable to foreign powers and domestic tragedies.

Tongue in cheek but this article should be a reality check for those espousing green energy. https://www.mining.com/minings-unlik...nberg-and-aoc/
Try this: https://www.msn.com/en-us/weather/to...cid=spartanntp Just an example. Add power storage systems that don't rely on mineral-batteries, advances in efficiency, and a shift in responsibility, makes the world get "greener".

The Pop Culture of "green energy" is just part of the necessary shift in usage demands. The money comes from a rework of who supplies the energy and how it is created. Some big entities will fail and other new ones will rise, as long as the rise is enabled by government willingness to stay out of the status-quo. Big campaign donors of the current paradigm are the driver of obstruction to change, and that obstruction is our collective biggest problem.

PS: The last two paragraphs of that article (don't suppose you read it all)… "It is, however, important to remember that when we highlight the impact of decarbonisation on copper prices there is absolutely no sense in which this can be taken to imply that we ‘cannot afford’ to deliver a “green economy” (and the resulting transformation of industrial and economic processes).
The market capitalisation of such entities as Facebook or Netflix imply that there is more than enough money, more than enough capital to deliver whatever economic transformation is required. The fact that our revealed preference (amusing cat videos) is at variance with our stated preference (a sustainable economic future for our children) should not be erroneously taken to infer that there is some financial constraint on the ends we choose to pursue."

While this article is a few years old (things have gotten even worse since it was written) it shows another glaring FAILURE by Obama.

With so many Democrats talking about "forgiving student debt"....should the colleges and universities (who benefitted most) be forced to use their massive endowments to help pay?...or will those who took useful majors and those who paid for their children's college be forced to pay for those who took 'sociology, gender studies or some other USELESS major?

So lame... still attacking Obama when the country is threatened by Trump. But I suppose if you can't face the horrors of the present conman POTUS, and if you can't show any reason to continue to support his criminal activities, you have no choice, but to look backward and/or fantasize.

However, these lame attacks against one of our weaker POTUSs are very suspect. It makes me wonder, why aren't you attacking Bush? He was a far worse POTUS than Obama (made one stupid decision after another, got us into two wars, outsourced government functions, encouraged Chinese development, and bankrupted our treasury... plenty to go after in that POS). Is it that you just hate anybody and everybody who isn't white? Or is it more specific than that, do you hate everybody who's ancestors are not from the same country as your ancestors? Or even more specific, do you hate everybody who doesn't hate the same things that you hate?

Instead of worrying about either one of those dudes, how about this destructive crap:

What's DJT doing to help the natural environment continue to be able to help us all?

I guess the education plan of the Trump University machine is that we should give funds to schools that are not accredited. Like they have been doing, and lower the standards for schools to become accredited. That way we take a step back, or more than a step back because degrees used to mean something. Let's just make it so that anyone in American can start a school, and the government will enforce payment even if the school closes and the degrees are not recognized. That will make America great again!

I agree with all points made about Bush....and of course you play the RACE CARD....but Obama was a special POS who DIVIDED America via 'Identity Politics'...who weaponized the IRS, FBI, CIA etc..against political opponents....pushed the 'Globalist' nonsense that Bush started to new heights.....even apologizing for America....I would vote for several black men or woman over the cast of CLOWNS running as Democrats for President...but none of them are filled with anger, entitlement and grievance like Cory Booker and Kamala Harris and that fat woman from Georgia....

PS: I have no intention of getting into a pissing match with the Trump haters on this thread....I learned early on not to argue with an EDP...

Attacks and disrespect of NYPD officers (many of whom are black and Latino) is at an all time high under azzwipe Mayor DiBlasio….and that TURD wanted to be President....Virtually every Democrat running is a similar type liberal CLOWN whose 'leadership' would bring this behavior to many other parts of the country.

https://newyork.cbslocal.com/2019/11...ggs-halloween/

Trump will be re-elected and the WHINING will continue....
