If you are a big man the ST seats will push on your love handles. Could be uncomfortable for an all day driver or an incentive to lose weight.

Someone told me last year that if anyone has over a 32Ē waist to forget about those ST2/ST3 seats. And after sitting inside of one for about 5 seconds, Iíd have to agree. Sure, they look fantastic but being locked into a fixed position for daily commuting isnít ideal.

Iíve always wondered why Ford offered an all-black low bolstered seat on the Fiesta ST, but never offered that color on the ST1? Those ST1 seats are very comfortable just too bad they arenít black, that would look pretty sweet.

Yes. The ST1 seats are more comfortable but they do look hideous with the black/gray cloth. The black looks pre faded.

I'm neither big nor a man, but I haven't heard anyone yet say anything positive about those seats except that they look cool and are handy when cornering hard.
I had no problem with the aluminum Kirkey seat in the racecar, but I wasn't spending multiple hours in it.

The Focus is no longer listed in any trim level in the "Build & Price" tool at ford.com in the U.S. (I suspect that is true in Canada too, but did not test it.) Unless you can still find a new one in some dealer's inventory where you are you would have to find one used. Whole different situation, especially for a turbocharged car.

In Canada it's still available. I'm always hesitant to buy a standard used, and I'd multiply that by 10 for a turbo. Though I did luck out with my last standard...still on the original clutch at 450 000kms.

Iíve looked at a few pre-owned Ď16-Ď18 ST1ís & itís pretty clear that many donít put towels down on those seats because that cloth gets so dirty & stains very easily. Nothing worse then opening the drivers side door & seeing a few spots on the seats. They are very comfortable though for daily driving.
