If you are a big man the ST seats will push on your love handles. Could be uncomfortable for an all day driver or an incentive to lose weight.

Someone told me last year that if anyone has over a 32Ē waist to forget about those ST2/ST3 seats. And after sitting inside of one for about 5 seconds, Iíd have to agree. Sure, they look fantastic but being locked into a fixed position for daily commuting isnít ideal.

Iíve always wondered why Ford offered an all-black low bolstered seat on the Fiesta ST, but never offered that color on the ST1? Those ST1 seats are very comfortable just too bad they arenít black, that would look pretty sweet.

Yes. The ST1 seats are more comfortable but they do look hideous with the black/gray cloth. The black looks pre faded.

I'm neither big nor a man, but I haven't heard anyone yet say anything positive about those seats except that they look cool and are handy when cornering hard.
I had no problem with the aluminum Kirkey seat in the racecar, but I wasn't spending multiple hours in it.

The Focus is no longer listed in any trim level in the "Build & Price" tool at ford.com in the U.S. (I suspect that is true in Canada too, but did not test it.) Unless you can still find a new one in some dealer's inventory where you are you would have to find one used. Whole different situation, especially for a turbocharged car.

In Canada it's still available. I'm always hesitant to buy a standard used, and I'd multiply that by 10 for a turbo. Though I did luck out with my last standard...still on the original clutch at 450 000kms.

Iíve looked at a few pre-owned Ď16-Ď18 ST1ís & itís pretty clear that many donít put towels down on those seats because that cloth gets so dirty & stains very easily. Nothing worse then opening the drivers side door & seeing a few spots on the seats. They are very comfortable though for daily driving.

Six years ago when I decided that I wanted an SE with the Sport Package with cloth seats instead of the Appearance package with the (so called) leather seats, that three-tone gray pattern was almost a deal killer for me. I hated the way it looked.

I got over it. I told myself the strange (to my eye) pattern of the dark and light panels was probably fashionable by today's standards and my old-man taste in car interiors was probably just outdated. It also looks a lot better with a white, silver, gray (like mine), or black exterior. I like it a lot less with a red, blue, or yellow exterior.

I'm glad I did not let that little detail keep me from buying the car. I love the way it looks and performs, probably more than any other car I've ever owned.

I had considered buying an ST, but couldn't justify spending ~$10k more to get the extra performance that would probably only get me into trouble. I already can't drive the stock SE as fast as it will go, which is often frustrating. If someone carries several passengers, especially if they're heavy, the ST's extra power might be necessary but for me it would just be too hard to restrain myself with..

Of course you know that this crowd has an insatiable appetite for photographs and details.

I made some notes about taking delivery of a new car that might help when you get to that point.

I have also found more videos about buying a new car on YouTube than I have had time to watch. You can just search for them there, or let me know if you want me to post links.
