Ugly, slow and mediocre MPG. Nice job, Ford.

I must have different benchmarks than other people here. While it took me a while to remember the name, my Wife and I liked the look and size. We got a great deal on a 2018 SE. Granted we are comparing to a 2010 Chevy Aveo5 and 2004 Focus ZTW but really like the way it drives and the features. The gas mileage is good and it handles well and for a 3 cylinder engine feels like it has good acceleration.

Manufactures can make any vehicle look good....Its about the functionally & how it performs....The eco doesn't cut it over here. I wouldn't want something like that, but if thats what you want, have a look at the Buick Encore.....

123 hp and 28 mpg/combined on the base engine. That doesn't seem good at all for a tiny SUV.

Good question. $23K MSRP for an SE? I guess they'll have to discount the hell out of them.

My issue with the EcoSport is it's awful gas mileage relative to the subcompact SUV segment. It's 29 on the highway vs. 31 for the Toyota C-HR and even the Chevrolet Trax. The Honda HR-V gets even 34 mpg on the freeway.

The design of the EcoSport is very uninspired, although granted styling an awkward portions of a subcompact crossover isn't really easy. I don't know how it's good at driving seeing it sways at 75 mph and the steering wheels seems to need constant correction. And how is acceleration good when it takes almost 11 seconds to get to 60 from a stop? 8 seconds is kind of the industry standard at least in the US.

Not trying to disrespect you or anything, but the EcoSport does not deserve any praise when everyone can see it's a half-baked attempt by Ford to place their mark on the subcompact crossover market.

Your not stepping on anyone's toes......Your just telling how it is. Ford needs to step up their game if they want to sell any of those here, or if that's all as far as they want to go, that price should be massively cut....

I believe the Hyundai Kona is the best vehicle in that segment. It offers multiple trim levels of course, and it offers multiple powertrains I believe you can get a 147 horsepower engine that's connected to a six-speed automatic, or a 175 horsepower engine that's connected to a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission.
