Got a few CFM goodies in yesterday that I forgot to post about. Crankcase vent and an SVT IMRC lever. Now I can actually use my SVT Intake since mine was missing this stupid piece. Thank God CFM makes this piece.

Phew, pant, gasp, wheeze! Okay it took yesterday and today! Still pretty good for an old phart such as I!

-valve cover gasket;
-intake manifold gasket set;
-PCV and hose;
-t-stat;
-upper and lower rad hoses;
-New antifreeze;
-flush and fill power steering oil;
-New coil boots and centre coil thingy;

All this on our 2007 Focus wagon with 273,000kms on it. The PCV was definitely done and the hose was just about disintegrating from handling it. The rubber was all soft and spoogy and definitely getting ready for the big Lewinski. I decided that if I was going to go after the PCV it would only make sense to do all of the rest of the associated things while the IM was off. Definitely not a job for the mechanically inept yet it really wasn't too bad once I got those damn IM bolts all figured out. Oh yeah, that little PCV retainer was definitely not for the guy they used to call "hands of stone" back in my football days. Miraculously though, I did get it off in one piece and was able to transfer it over to the new part.

Just a couple of minor parts left over and I'm sure I'll figure those out tomorrow. Fired her up and the darn thing purred like a kitten with hardly a wobble or shake out of the motor. Rock steady idle. That celebratory beer tonight tasted MDF!!!

One thing I did find as a surprise was the cruise control cable was badly shredded with only two strands of cable still attached to the throttle. New one ordered today!

Cheers Boys and Girls!

Mike

Forgot to update some of the parts I bought.

$28 for the Fuel EVAP Separator on eBay. Couldn't find the part on FordParts. Local dealer wanted $70. Another dealer wanted $32 but OOS. Hopefully this solves the P0420 that seems to come and go (plus I don't want my gas tank collapsing).

Love the fact you pay an extra dollar and get Next Day Air from FordParts. Will be installing those after work.

Has anyone replaced their A/C Clutch / A/C Clutch Bearing on the MK3 yet?

Replaced my Drive Belt and my A/C belt last night. The new A/C belt decided to break this morning... RIP. Thankfully I caught it before it took out the Drive Belt and caused a bigger mess.

Not sure what happened. It was lined up and installed perfectly... Worked fine on the test drive last night.

So the snow pinched my mud flap to my wheel and attempted to rip it off the car. So I've been fixing that. Bumper cover should be able to go olback on tomorrow.

Sent from another garage.

JFC. Good thing it was your rear and not your Driver Front.

It tried ripping my ECU enclosure out when this happened to me...

Ouch, had something similar happen before. Couple of new bolts and some JB weld and it's been holding strong for 5 years now. Hope your repair goes smoothly.
