Ac pulley seized up

Hi guys I'm from Beverly WV. I have a 02 Ford focus and the a/c pulley seized up. I bought an account bypass pulley and new belt. What I'm wanting to know is, do I have to remove entire AC unit or is there a way to just put in bypass pulley without having to take out the whole compressor unit? I'm not very good at this as you can tell already. I took the belt off and the car started right up. The AC compressor pulley and clutch are seized, I just want the quickest way to put the bypass pulley on and get back on the road. It's an SE 5 Speed Manuel trans, runs great except for that. I hope any of this makes sense that I'm saying. Thank you in advance.

I meant I bought an ac bypass pulley, not account pulley in my first text. I apologise

You don't say which engine it is, one of them does not need a bypass pulley at all, you simply buy and use a non a/c belt.

Check 8th digit of the VIN, it will be either a 3 or a P, 3 is the one that doesn't use the pulley.

Often all you need do is remove the a/c clutch assembly rather than entire a/c compressor.
