Passenger door

Hi guys, I bought my 3rd svt, first one with this problem. The passenger door will not open from inside or out, when I hit the power lock unlock I don't hear the lock on that side either. The out side handle feels one nothing, the inside moves and I can hear a click bit still won't open. Thurs fails inspection here in va so I need help quick!

You have to remove the inside door handle. Unhook from the cable..Grasp outside cover of cable with pliers. With another pair, push in on the cable until lock is unbound.

[QUOTE=Svtchase;11383033]I can move the cable it seems but door still eight Google " cant open door from inside or outside Ford focus" you will see all the threads. That was the solution that saved the door panel. My drivers door is doing the same thing so let me know if you get it to work.

Sounds like internal latch assembly to me.

For the post #2 scenario to work the cable cannot work, rather it will act springy and NOT work. If cable seems to work then latch assembly is fubar.

I just spoke to a locksmith and he is confident he can get the door open. That being said you need to be able to repair the door after it is opened. Good luck.

Glad you got it sorted. Parts are available on Rock Auto and your local salvage yard.
