Better to part out or sell

Thinking I could maybe get $3000-$3500 with everything I've got for selling the car. Would I make more parting it out? Engine and trans are good, EAP wheels, lots of 1 year old suspension items, another set of rims that I forget the name of but are expensive ones, extra hatch and hood, short throw shifter, magnaflow exhaust with lifetime warranty, bunch of other stuff.

Getting tired of the little things the car has been needing, and as a college kid with no time during the week i can't afford anything major breaking, no car means I can't get to work or class, and if something breaks and if I need a part I can't get locally I'm just screwed. Should have never bought a "rare" car that takes 93 the first place. Not a good college car.

morally you should sell whole, financially you should part out. Considering the current prices of these cars and part, your going to come out fairly close either way so a lot depends how much time you have to devote to parting a car out.

It's too bad you can't keep the car and get a second "beater" for school or backup, but I know that's not always realistic. At least in my experience, these cars can be very reliable for long periods of time, but like you said, once something does go wrong, it's not always as easy as running down to the parts store and getting back on the road the next day.

sell whole, it takes a lot of time and space to part out an entire car to extract maximum value.

I've got the time and could make the space, I'll be getting a new car before getting rid of the SVT so I don't need the money for the new car. Selling would be a lot simpler, just worried rust is going to get to it soon. Its not bad right now, I would just hate to sell a car and have it fall apart a year later.

You know, after coming home and driving a decent amount through the hills and curves here I remember why I like the car. Too flat and straight at college, that's why I've lost the love for this car. Thinking I'm not going to sell it and keep it for a project car after college.
