No crank issue when on hill.

I thought I post about this already but search is not working for me so if this is a duplicate please let me know and I will delete this.

My 2004 SVT will not crank if I park on an incline. Facing up facing down either way. It will after 10-20 Min. finally crank and start. It NEVER happens if I park on level ground. Can anyone tell me what could possibly cause this?

Sometimes the fuel pump inertia switch gets rusty and does this. Behind passenger side kick panel. If you remove it and can hear the ball rattling when you shake it that is probably the issue. They were pretty inexpensive on the last ford I replaced one on.

I thought the inertia switch just cuts off or interrupts fuel pump? It interrupts the starter also?

If the computer sees the inertia switch as a broken contact it will kill the ignition as well.
