See now this is why I'm pissed/confused! I think you're even calculating your gallon at 3.8 liters which would indicate 30 mpgs up here on ours. When I say I'm barely getting 22-23 you can see my concern.

Now having said that I did get a scan done and it did pull a code (though again, never had a cel come on) The code was/is p0456, or a evaporative emission system leak. Not sure where to even start looking but I can't believe it not throwing a check engine light and getting the mileage I am that something like this could make it that bad? Anybody ever have this specific code come up? Any common SVTF failures related to this to start looking for?

What repairs can fix the P0456 code?

Replacing a leaking gas cap
Replacing the leaking or clogged purge vent valve
Replacing a leaking purge valve

I would think a leaking gas cap would throw a cel/code? And no way could that account for poor mpg's....?

The other two issues I will look into. Is there a definitive way to pinpoint failure of these parts? I've heard fogging will help find vacuum leaks, but again, how could these affect my mileage this much? Do failures cause the car to run super rich?
