My question is, is it worth doing myself? Or is paying the shop on Lackland Air Force Base 2 hours of labor worth the $140 bucks? Iíve never done one before but I do a lot of my own maintenance and am pretty mechanically inclined. Located in San Antonio any tips with this repair are greatly appreciated!
If you're stationed there go to the on base auto craft DIY shop. Take someone in your unit with you WHO KNOWS WHAT TO DO and buy him pizza and beer after you're both done.

If Lackland closed the shop go to Ft. Sam.

I also use dielectric grease on my caliper pins. No more "frozen" pins. It also has a high heat resistance and the ability to help repel water intrusion. Oh, and I do use it for electrical connections and "O" ring sealing.

I don't think I gave any incorrect advice.
X 10 on the dielectric grease.... also on spark plug porcelain.
