uhmm.

Ford THEMSELVES installed these Machs, and this harness .. IE they didn't hack the ends off the factory loom they installed a ancillary loom instead where if i wanted to put factories i unplug them install the caps and plug the original cars loom in and install the relays ;P i actually like the way they did this and i'm going to look into making a kit just like this so you don't touch the factory harness...

I'll poke a few pics in the morning xD its 4:30am i doubt my neigbours will be pleased with me farting around with the car taking pics at this time

this box is strictly for the headlights and turn signals of the front of the SVT . i have it unbolted as i trace down a dozen or so electrical issues with everything else
(ignore the snake mess of cable theres a day charger (smart charger) wired to that car so the battery does't drop and give the cars aftermarket alarm a fit as it sits as i don't have a remote for it and its to cold to try to fush under the dash to locate it and what loom was hacked for it)

the oem fusebox which i cant open at the moment because of a bent strutbar im waiting for the strut mount nuts to absorb the oil so i dont snap a strutmount bolts so i can remove it. the wiring for that fusebox goes though a courrougated loom to the headlights and a second one follows the engine loom up to the underside of the OEM fusebox and into it.. theres probably blade terminals bypassing the removed original relays in that fusebox. theres a baggie in the car with 2 used white relays that are labeled "Fusebox-Headlight"

Ford dealer put this in to change from machs to standard halogens?
Did you own the car at the time? Just curious is all.
Another curiosity question. The standard halogens are just one bulb, correct? Assuming they are one bulb, is it a double filament type bulb or do the just vary the power between high/ low beam?
I would speculate if done at dealer and not under your ownership( you would know the answer otherwise) That maybe someone had the halogens and wanted the mach headlights that weren't an included option on the vehicle so they were put on at the dealer before sale.
A few co workers have had things put on the trucks at the dealer that weren't included from the factory before taking ownership, like paint schemes, fancy seats, wheels/ tires and one had faux wood grained trim pieces for the interior put in from a Lincoln truck

All SVT's come stock with Halogens, as mentioned the original engine harness still has the factory headlight plugs which are just capped off and ziptied on the engine loom they pulled the relays out that control it but installed feeders to the secondary fuse box they installed for the machs to tell them to turn on and off..

I did not own this vehicle when it was done it was purchased like this hence it looks like a wiring mess im trying to fix a bunch of electrical gremlins. eventually cleaning it up.

this SVT had a problem and pretty much sat since 2014 which i bought it to rebuild.

as for the highbeams ive never tried as im still working on everything else ive had possession for less then a month and its been buried under snow for a good 2/3rds of the time hence the trickle charger

My current svt came with machs. I 've taken out the headlights a few time and haven't noticed another plug for halogens. I guess I could have overlooked them. On the other hand tho, I have seen threads for guys making harness and plugs for going back to halogens from machs and there would be no need for them if these were still there. I have noticed on my first svt, it has plugs for the turn signals in the grill, but I'm pretty sure that car originally came with halogens.
I'll have to go look tomoro, good reason to let the car run while I tinker with it.

SVT's in 03 and 04 came with Machs from factory. Not all of them did, obviously...just certain packages.

You are either wired for HID'S, or HALOGEN, not both.
