Info about upstream o2 sensor

2003 Focus SVT here:

Alright, so I have previously replaced my downstream sensor with a motorcraft DY1401. From what I've read, this 1401 part also fits the upstream if I'm not mistaken? Asking for clarification before I go buy one from the dealership. I would really like motorcraft after seeing all of these other threads about avoiding bosch, denso, etc. I can't seem to find a DY1040 (original upstream) at a reasonable price that would also make it to my home before I can get my free re-test at the emissions place.

On Amazon, the DY1040 part says "superseded to dy1401" which I presume means they send me a dy1401 part. I just don't want to get a cord that's too short or a plug that doesn't fit.

Thanks for any insight,
Dave

The up stream and down stream o2 sensors are not the same

I have installed HUNDREDS of the Focus over the counter front o2 by bosch and have never run into issues with them being bosch vs motorcraft

Motorcraft doesnt make o2 sensors so some one like Bosch is making them for Motorcraft

o2 sensors rarely go bad but people change them because of other issues then it diesnt fix the problem so its the o2 sensors problem , I have had Bosch o2 in my 2002 Turbocharged SVT sense 2010 with no issues
