So I doing a rebuild for my svt and was thinking of using Zetec block. I know the only difference is the svt block has oil squirters. I would like to know is how necessary are the squirters?
You could probably get by without them if the engine was completely stock and you didn't hotrod it, but you already have the correct block for the SVT, what's your reasoning for wanting the incorrect one?
Squirts are useful in theory, but my reading here over the years reveals little NEED for them. Many have used the zetec block for performance builds, and some with the SVT block had issues with a squirter nozzle falling out after a rebuild with them removed.
