Rear Subframe Replacement

Hey guys, I got a 2004 Focus SVT that isn't quite ready for the junk yard, body is in pretty good shape and while working out some of the other oddball repairs I discovered that the rear subframe is broken off.

From what I've read is 00-11 rear subframe will work but I've gotten conflicting information on the 08+ bolts being different dimensions and the wagon being almost totally different.

Can anyone confirm that hatch and sedan will bolt up and maybe what model has the brace mount?

Thanks guys, I'm sure I'll be back with many more as my project progresses.

Yes the 08-11 rear subframes are the same as 00-07. ZX3/4/5 subframes are all the same, the wagon subframe is different. As far as the bolts it looks like they're all 12mm bolts. 00-07 use 65mm long bolts, 08-11 uses 67mm bolts.

Great! Thanks. So, in other words, finding a replacement shouldn't be difficult.

Earliy mk1, non svt subframes had control arms that were a weak point. Ford eventually replaced them with the SVT style ones (think that was 05+.) The good ones have a reinforcement tab welded over the endlink holes.

Also, not all focus subframes have brackets for a rear swaybar. Avoid the most basic S models.

Okay, so far it looks like I'll be getting just the frame, utilizing what I've got that's good. Local yard doesn't have any SVT parts at the moment so I'm at the mercy of what I can find.
