Sunroof part question

So got in my car and opened the sunroof to hear cracking sound. Thought maybe it was a small stick or something. Looked around and did not find anything. I got to my destination and went to close the sunroof to hear a wonderfull crack. It would not close, so I looked around and found this on the passenger side of the car. Anybody know what it is. I want to fix it as I use the sunroof just about every day. Anyways here is the part. I was able to get it to close but it did not make a pretty noise. Figure this is a guide or something. For now it will be leave shut.

Anybody know if I can get this. Would hate to have to replace the whole unit just for some old plastic.

Looking at the sunroof diagram it doesn't look like a part that is replaceable by itself. You'd probably need a whole new track to replace that piece.

There is someone on Ford Focus Classifieds on Facebook right now selling a whole sunroof set for $50. Might be a good option.

Does it have any numbers stamped on it? We had to replace a grommet that didn't show in the parts diagram, but we were able to cross reference the engineering number to a valid part.

My new parts car has a working sunroof. So that one is free?

Might check. There is a 2006 in the local junk yard. May go play with it and see where this attaches.

So not parts number on the piece in question. Looking on ford parts and this is a part that you can not get new. Figure I will swap in the one from my parts car. That being said the local pick and pull had one and it was only $30 to remove it. I kinda tore is apart but could put it back together. But this one had cracked parts as well. I have a feeling they all will. Time to make a reproduction part? Guessing these will start failing pretty hard. But then again our cars were economy boxes with 10 year life span. So will have to play it by year.

Anyways here is what broke.
