I'll wait to see what I come up with, I have a partial Zetec hose (the long complex one that goes from the radiator pipe to heater core) and looking at it again I may be able to use it as "plan A". "Plan B" will be the one that I bought. It depends on what clears and where I can cut the heater core to cooler hose.

I might jack the car up tomorrow to get an idea and toss on some endlinks. I should be able to do it next week for real since I'm due for an oil change.

Anyone know the torque spec for the adapter bolt? I looked all around google, or else it's going on 'gutentight'.

I also hope that the SVT bolt is 27mm like the Escape one, don't want to pull off the oil filter and find that it's some socket size I don't have.

So did you just get the part YL8Z6A642AA? or are there other gaskets or hardware needed outside of the whole hose connection?

So one of the coolant lines is angled differently then the focus one? That's the only difference? Let us know if it works

Other than the 27mm socket I needed YL8Z6A642AA is a 'kit' with the seal and new bolt. I'll let you guys know how it goes...

I've had it in for a few weeks to test it out and no mishaps. The hose I bought was a DAYCO 71231 that I found a Advance, then I had a 90 degree elbow that I cut from another hose, and two 5/8" brass couplings from a hardware store to mend it all together.

I had to trim the 71231 hose a tiny bit to make it a true "s" shape, and trim a little of the existing "heater core to oil cooler" hose. I let it rest on top of the subframe to clear the axle and the serpentine nicely. I wrapped it in a piece of the old hose to prevent chafing on the frame (though I don't think it will) and zip tied it all on the frame.

I did all this so there wouldn't be any stress on the heater core connection by pulling the hose, this brings it all back around to where it should be in a way.

I'll try to get some pics up later if anyone wants.
