If they are photobucket pictures you can try right clicking it getting the link and the going to photobucket directly and looking for it. The pictures should or could still be there. Buy due to their new policy on 3rd party hosting don't show up in the forums.

My oil cooler starting leaking real bad one day as I got home, thank God I heard it before I tried to leave the next morning...

The metal lines that the hoses hook onto corrode bad, mine had multiple little holes in it. So I took it off, screwed the oil filter in its place and havnt had any problem with it. A lot of threads talk about taking the 2 cooler lines and rigging them together so coolant still flows, or you can do what I did, just take the long hose going to the cooler and put it on the heater core line. You'll end up not needing the other hose, just make sure you secure the extra slack in the longer hose.

I found your post last night and was going to message you - thanks for popping in!

There are two adapters, one between the block and the cooler and another between the cooler and filter. Did you just keep the one at the block? The one at the filter appears (by the Ford parts pix, I haven't seen it in person) that it has a washer of sorts built in.

I am afraid to look at mine now... I know its not leaking yet but with all the corrosion I have going on under the car and in the back If I look at it wrong it might start leaking.

Did you see this thread/post? SVT oil cooler rusted through. Now what? - Page 2

I just went and found the link to my post lol, here it is if anyone has questions. A few pictures in there also.

http://www.focusfanatics.com/forum/g...eeze-leak.html

Trying to remember... Ok so there's the part that the filter screws onto and has a nut on it, take that off. Then the filter will screw directly onto the block, just like a regular zetec engine. Just make sure to clean up the surface after you take the cooler off.

You're welcome, I enjoy when I can help someone with a problem that I've been through

Edit: Magus, nobody had an answer for me when I asked about an escapes oil cooler fitting, that link shows that it does work though. Might try it once I can get hired somewhere here(in college now). I will say I have been completely fine without it though. Kinda funny, during my 2.5 hour drive if it's cold out the "oil temp" gauge and coolant gauge will drop slightly lower then normal when I'm cruising at 2.4k rpm, then speeding up any heats it back up to normal. I wonder if that's because the oil isn't heating the coolant

I just got the Escape oil cooler yesterday from Tasca... wanted to scoop one up before it becomes discontinued. The elbows are looking bad on mine, and I'm thinking of going to a saltier region.

I have some idea of how I want to make the one connection face the correct angle, just need to look through the small hoses at a parts store to see what I can find. I have a 90 degree hose on hand... now maybe a short "S" hose.

I want to ask C-F-M if they will make a silicon kit for the SVT with the Escape. So basically have them make a new hose for the one elbow that is different.

Need to ask Steve or someone how many escape coolers are left or still being produced. Or else a custom hose would be worthless. I saw a newer Ford cooler on eBay that might also work, but it was $150.

I found a hose that should work on mine today to hopefully make the swap as painless as possible.
