I got an oil change at for on a thursday....went to walmart afterwards, noticed my center caps were all missing.
Went back to ford, dude said here ya go bud. Car sat friday. Heading to drill got 20 miles down the highway and car smokes white, out of exhaust n under hood. Car lost pressure and died. Before that it sounded like gears were grinding metal on metal. Try to start it and just gets a whiny noise. Took it to ford and they said **** u, pretty much. Timing belt looks great. Small amount of oil on dip stick.
Advice?...take off valves n heads to see if pistons are f'd? Who is this mike dude in 08 that rebuilds engines?

No codes came up from ford supposedly...cuz its been tuned...what they said

Who did your oil change? And why did they have the center caps off of your wheels??? Like wtf? Were they trying to take them to sell them? They either overfilled it, used the wrong filter, didn't have the drain plug tight, something along those lines. I'd jack it up, look for anything like that and if there is proof then tell them that you want the money it'll take to have someone rebuild it, because I would not want the same place that is treating you like that to touch my car again

X2 with the confusion. When you are ADD enough you cannot even post full information to detail where you are jumping around in your post you will not get any help.

I for one am walking away from this thread, I see more unconnected ideas here than fit in a cuckoo's nest.

'at for'

'here ya go bud'

'heading to drill'

'mike dude'

?????????????????????????????????????????????

So you got an oil change/tire rotation at a Ford dealership. Then afterwords you went to Walmart and noticed your center caps were missing, so you went back to the dealership and asked them about it, and the person who did the work to it said "Here you go bud". Then the car sat for a day, then the next day white smoke poured out of the back of the car after driving 20 miles.

I'm no expert but I think you're in a perfect position to get legal help in forcing them to give you money to get it rebuilt. There is absolutely no reason to have the center caps off of your car for a rotation. Something went wrong with the oil change and IS THEIR FAULT. The metal grinding noise is your engine without oil. I don't know if t being tuned could save their asses but I doubt it.

If someone older then me could give advice that would be great, but I'd be calling up a lawyer

When you say there was oil on the dipstick... Is it indicating there is oil in the pan or just residual oil from contact with the tube on the way out. Idk how someone can mess up an oil change other than use wrong oil or filter. Even then i wouldn't think you would have catastrophic failure after 20-30 miles. I put 5w20 in my first svt by mistake once. I drove it for 1500 miles with no major reprecussion.
Now if they forgot to put any oil in at all I don't think it would make it the 20 miles. You would see the engine temps rise thru the roof and the motor would seize.
This is my logical thinking and by no means am I an expert.

I think he was driving it, then suddenly white smoke out the back, and he lost oil pressure. So something caused oil to leave the engine, quickly
