Is your imrc/vct= working or not?

Does your imrc /vct work or not? I'd think ppl would want to take advantage of the engineering that went it to this motor. Why not get it working correctly to begin with? Ford could of saved a lot of coin by not adding these features as well as just going w/ the mtx75 vs the getrag mt285 trans...Quite a lot of stickies to get the imrc working properly as well as the vct.

Both of mine work. The Runner change is nice. If it breaks I will continue to fix it. Same with the vct. Dual runners are a nice thing.

I have even thought about swapping a dual runners onto my 2001 miata. But since its an stock/street class autocross car I can not do that. That and the JDM/Euro Intake flows much better. So I would loose some low end but the vvt and flat top manifold would make up for it up top.

Same goes with a buddy and his 06 Focus. He is debating a 2.3 intake manifold swap with the dual runners.

Yea similar to a dual runner carb'ed manifold from yrs ago.

He'll need to use the 23 head to really take advantage of the d/r manifold.

Why not get it working? Money is the simplest answer to that, not everyone can drop $250 for something that they can live without.

That being said if you want the most power/mpg you definitely need both of these

IDK what a v/6 Contour/Mystic imrc goes for, I'd think it'd be a lot cheaper than $250. thou...

IMRC will through a code for stuck open, stuck closed, or circuit failure. VCT will make it run terrible if it is not working properly
