The new PCV line from Ford came without any heat protection. I have header wrap, should I wrap it with some of that? Or wrap it with anything else? Will be putting it on as soon as I get the old one off

PCV is not "hot" no heat shield is not needed. My multiple foci have not see heat shielding or wrap on tube PCV hoses or lines... They use rubber lines for joints so...

Isn't heat the reason it collapses though?

Anyways, found the leak. The little elbow at the PCV valve to the metal line had cracked in the inner part of the bend. That rubber elbow sees a LOT of heat lol. New one on, the longer one that goes to the intake on, and she runs even better. This car is a completely different car from when I bought it, in a good way.

It collapses because it sees pressure differential and there is no inner support. It is warm oil vapor any rubber hose will deteriorate over time in that condition.

The new hose should have a inner metal spring to hold structure ( IIRC ).

Just a random update, I've had 0 problems with any of the parts I've gotten, cars been treating me well and it's surprising how many people here at my college know about SVTs and want a ride in it.

Still haven't put the control arms on yet, gonna do inner/outer tie rods and wheel bearings at the same time and get it aligned.

I think the PS pump is starting to go out on me, heard a very quiet bearing noise after work the other day and at the same time had a decrease in power steering, so that'll be on the list as well.
