Picking up a SVTF that needs work

Hey guys,
I am looking at picking up an 04 3dr SVT. Its got about 90k on the clock. Long story short, the previous owner seems to have hit a sign with it. The car, as it sits, has a mismatched hood and is missing the bumper.
I see that a lot of ZX3 owners have put on an SVT bumper. Since the SVT bumpers are ridiculously priced I was thinking of throwing on a ZX3 bumper or an aftermarket bumper (under $200) on it.

If i were to go the ZX3 bumper route do i need a different grille as well?
What aftermarket bumper brands have a good fit (duraflex?)?

I ran the codes on it and found an O2 heater circuit code as well. But from what I have read these cars like to eat O2 sensors.

What else would you guys recommend to look into?

Thanks in advance!

Check any pick and pull junkyard within a 100 miles(or how ever far your willing to travel)for the bumper I kno they sell them cheap.. I don't believe u need a different grill cuz I see people use the svt grill all the time and my last zx3 I had a st170 grill on from Europe. . Also is the car lowered? If it is.. Check to make sure the header isn't bent. A lot of these cars the headers get bent and then u crack or break 02 sensors often..

The car seems to be bone stock. So I believe it just has the factory svt suspension.
I did have a lowered zx3 about 8 years ago which made a mess of the bushings. It seemed like it would crab walk down the road when you hit uneven pavement. On that car I had to press in all new urethane bushings for the suspension. That was a pain to say the least.

Car-Part.com is a pretty cool website that can help you track down parts at salvage yards near your location.

O2 sensor heater codes generally indicate that the sensors have been damaged. It's extremely common. Be ready to replace them. Use OEM Motorcraft sensors. These cars don't like Bosch sensors.

Timing belts need done about every 75k miles, if it has the original do it quick, it's an interference engine. RF contol arm bushings went out on a friend of mines SVT, and now mine is having the same problem(probably a coincidence) IMRC boxes are a common issue, but if you don't have a code for it(P1518,P1519,P1520) then you're good for now.

Fog light holes will be different on the ZX3 bumper, so if you get that style of bumper get the fog lights from it also, but it'll look like a ZX3 from the front instead lol

Grill will fit. Yes the 02 sensor should be replaced only OEM tascaparts.com. Try buy-n-sell for bumper.
