Strange noise when in neutral.

So I have. Even hearing a strange news every once in a while. When I am in neutral I hear a chattering. When i depress the clutch pedal it goes away. When taking off and in gear there is no chattering sound either. It does it primarily when it's warm. But it doesn't always do this. No preformance is affected. Still clears all gears and no grinding. Kind of perplexed.

I'll be chatting with my step dad the Ford tech and our transmission guy at work as well. Wasn't sure if anyone else has come across this issue. Thanks in advance guys.

I was ready to move this to a better section, but might as well leave it here as a "general question" on SVT's.

Sounds like you're hearing the throw out bearing rattle that's often seen on any of the manual trans Focus models.

It can come loose from the slave cylinder (glued on) and rattle when there is no pressure on it. Goes away when your foot is on the clutch pedal. No problems result from this other than the noise.
