My SVTF is making progress. Thanks guys!

I have been slowly working on my car here and there. This forum has been a HUGE resource that I am glad I found. I have lurked in the suspension section and decided to go with stock SVT refresh, new bushings, sway bars and to replace motor mounts as they are horrendous. I am doing a plugs, wires, new fog lights, the other wheel bearing, thermostat housing and a few other loose ends.

Long term plans are to find a motor to strip down and make it bullet proof. I know it won't be cheap but it will be worth it. I will try to find another SVT as my daily or get a newer Focus.

Thanks again for all the help and the great atmosphere!

Step dad inspected the belt and it looked to be rather new. No stratching, tearing, worn sections, fraying of the belt or gauges. (from what we could see).

I plan to replace the tensioners and belt soon anyways. Still haven't decided what rear kit to go with for the brakes.

unless you have proof (receipt) of it being changed, I would probably change it again. when they go, they ruin a lot of things. (interference valves)

Definitely plan to replace the belt. I will within the next few weeks once I have time to get them on and everything together.

Have you had any problems with your CAI? I took mine off due to sucking up water. Happened twice. First time I emptied a quart or so of water out of the intake manifold

I've checked it a few times. Not a drip at all. I do want to change it but not sure what to really do. Having that cooler air come under the car helps, not by a large amount, but I prefer it over engine bay heated air.

Throw a stock svt airbox with "snorkle" if you can find one. Drop a good filter in it. I didn't notice any difference between the two other than noise.
