Gas octane

Does everyone actually use premium has in these or does 87 octane work fine if you have no aftermarket parts and aren't beating on the car?

I would fair to say yes that the vast majority here uses premium. People get on here and panic when they accidentally pump a lower octane...

Now, it wont suffer from an instant death if 87 is used the sensors will compensate. Regular is ok in an emergency when premium isn't available.

If you use 87 in an SVT you run the very real risk of burning out an oxygen sensor. There will also be a good amount of silent knock.

Since TX octane goes 87 mid, 93 premium, I use 93 and always fill up.
But......tank capacity = 13+ gal, so I've tried to get 91 by mixing:
Solid on "E", put in at least 6.5 gal of 93 then fill the rest with 89. Wouldn't that be at least 91 octane?
the math averages out (89+93)/2 = 91
[did it a couple times just to experiment, nothing seemed to suffer...]
