Dash

Hello, everyone. I have an '03 SVT ZX5. The car is in pretty good shape for its age. I'm getting some paint work done on it and want to get the car back in new condition.

The original owner drilled 3 holes in the dash to install a satellite radio mount. I could probably patch those holes up, but was wondering if I can just get another dash from a regular Focus and put in there. I wasn't sure if the whole trim comes out so that I could put my stock oil gauges in the standard dash, so without going out and inspecting one, does anyone know? Thanks.

Joe

Pics would be cool to help me with where exaclty the holes are. May not need the whole dash. I'm pretty sure they're all the same from 2000-2004.

Just need to find a donor car with the same color dash pieces.

Yes, it is all a direct swap. Keep the surround that goes around the gauges as that is SVT specific, just how it is molded to make room for the oil gauge. But you won't have any issues swapping to a stock focus dash other than the different color.

If you were closer, I just took the dash out of my stock focus and put the SVT one in. To match the SVT door panels.

The longest part is swapping the air bag cover, tight area there...but youll be fine. Just unplug the battery and wait a little while if you go that route.

Where are the holes from the Sat. Radio at? As Mike stated above, you may be able to just swap that piece out...

Let us know!

They are drilled directly through the top of the dash above the stereo.

Ouch! Looks like you need the whole thing then.

Or find a nice way to cover them up.

^^^

Get fancy with some vinyl wrap, put a dash cover on. Or just be creative and consider it a pencil and pen holder.
