master cylinder won't fit new booster!?

Ok, I've had my 03 SVT for almost ten years. A while back (5 years) I had to get a new brake booster. The place I went gave me the wrong one, didn't know at the time that traction control and ABD went hand in hand. So I researched to make sure I got the right part number online, then went to the store to order it (re-verifying the part number there). Put it in yesterday, everything is good, except that the factory master cylinder bolt holes are spaced to close together now, and won't mount to the larger gaped studs on the booster (by like a inch or so).

Did something get redesigned after 2010ish???? I'm slightly confused...anyone seen this?

I actually had the one that fit like the factory booster before this one.... and it was the wrong part number (without traction control)... but it fit, everything. Now I have this one that is suppose to be for the SVT (with traction control) and the mounting studs for the master cylinder are 4 inches apart, with the factory MC being 2 1/2 inches. Actually found the MC that would fit what I bought, but it has either 3 or 4 ports, factory SVT is only 2 (not counting the reservoir ports. Not real happy at the moment needless to say.

'I actually had the one that fit like the factory booster before this one.... and it was the wrong part number (without traction control)... but it fit, everything.'

Be guided by that, often the catalogs are totally lost, I used to use them all day and the mistakes could not be counted. You gotta factor in all the people who couldn't make a quarter pounder at McD's five times the same way, they have moved up into places where they can really screw up things bigtime now.

Really no difference in booster for traction control, get the one that works with your M/C if M/C bolted on and worked with your vehicle systems. Ignore what the catalog says. Sometimes the only way to fix the issue. The car belongs to YOU not them, they could care less.

The thing is, I had a regular one on there and you would have thought I didn't have power breaks, it sucked! Lol. Regardless, I found the matching MC for that booster.
