Try this one.
"Ultra High Performance All Season" tire reviews.
Clicky
PZero Nero M&S does come out on top, but,
the Conti Extreme Contact is the best of the bunch in regards to snow traction.

The "Winter Tire" reviews are what swayed me toward the Dunlops.

My favourite high value, modest price winter tires - Hankook W300 Ice Bears - aren't even listed.

That's because Tire Rack doesn't carry them.
That's also why you don't see the infamous Nokian Hakkapeliitta tires on the list.

I have Yokohama F721 (same as the current IG721) on Contour SVT rims - drove in snow for the first time today. The tires are about half worn down, maybe not quite that much. Did pretty well. In 3rd gear at about 30-40mph I tried to get them to break loose (heavy acceleration) and they seem to grip rather well. With the traction control the were great - I have a few hills and one steep grade after a stop and no problems. The real test will be when there is some deep snow on the road - this morning, it was just 1/2 inch to an inch in places.

Wow... The stock contisports take a real beating in those surveys.

I just had some Contisport Extremecontacts put on and really like them, but I only have 60 miles or so on them so a true review or even real impressions are a ways off yet. My car's headed in Monday morning for an alignment, I'll provide impressions a few days after that if I can remember.

Talking First slick drive today

Well the Nokian RSI's hook up was great people were slippin and sliding all over the place after the freezing rain we had earlier this morning. I push them a little and got them to brake loose a little but I never felt out of control. The traction control came on a few times but only because I was driving a little hard for the conditions.

the winter wheel set up is as follows;
stock 16" x 6 Ford Focus wheels in place of my stock 17" SVT summer wheels
Nokian 16 205/55
No rubbing at all and there is plenty of clearence.

They should

I have the same wheel with the exception that mine are 6" wide not 7"
You may want to ask them if the 7" is correct.
I have 205/55 16" tires on mine and have no complants.
If they are 7" wide you may need to run 205/50 16" tires

The Dunlop Winter Sport M2 are great tires. I have them on my SVTF on wheels from a 2000 ZX3. I have not experienced any rubbing with the 205/55/16. We have had some moderate snow falls and these tires have performed verywell in the snow. I have tired numerous times to get the car to spin out (ofcourse in a parking lot) and each time the tires do what they are suppose to. The last snow fall we had was about 8" and there was no problem getting the SVTF thru it. I was able to point the car where I wanted it to go and it did it. I came up to an intersection that was icy and noticed that the ABS didn't need to come on. The M2's were able to get tranction and ease the SVTF to a stop. The car behind me (it was a newer Honda Civic, so their tires couldn't have been that bad) had a lot of trouble stopping and ended up going off the road to avoid hitting me.

The Dunlop Winter Sport M2's get an A+ from me.

I just installed those exact wheels on my SVT with a set of new Dunlop M2 205/55 tires. They are not 7" wide.

I also have no problems with rubbing.
