tow hitch

Hi BLKEUROSVTZX5 :

The one shown in the pics I did it by myself.
I had that hitch in my previous Ford Orion. Ive cut all the weldings and with some parts of the old one and some new irons I did it. Its not hard to do if you has a welding machine.
The worst part is to measure the actual holes that the chassis has and to manage to do the correct structure to hold the hitch.

The only problem I would have with that one is the rear exhaust diffuser on a SVTF is about 5 inches lower than that so no matter what Id have to cut a hole in it for the hitch to poke thru.

Well to update what I have done is buy part#24692 from Uhaul. This is for 2004 Focus 4Dr sedan. I did take the rear diffuser off(about 12 screws). There was also a hole drilled on the Right hand side along a frame rail. I will post shots when its daylight out. It doesn't look pretty but it only takes about 30-40 mins to install or take off. So that way I can put the "diffuser" back on and have the stock look. I don't know if I ever will get around to buying another diffuser to make a cutout for the hitch.

Well I think Im screwed all the way around now...I plan on installing a center exit exhaust with custom reverse lights in the new center exit diffuser due to my new european tail lights. Guess Ill have to put a hitch on my 98 Stang instead. But I would like to see what the install looks like when you get a chance.

Putnam hitches ZX3 hitch works with my 02 focus svt. It pushes the rear valance up in the middle less than an inch. Im real happy with it.
