06 Focus ZX4 ST Rear Disc Spindle... Where to buy

Hi All,

I'm soooo frustrated and I need help. I have a 06 Focus ZX4 ST, with 4 wheel ABS and rear DISC brakes. I need the rear drivers spindle (stub axle) The cars ABS light has been on and I can't fix it without the spindle being replaced.I had it fully diagnosed. I tried ford, taskers, ford giant etc, and even my local and regional salvage yards...all no luck. The part number: 98AZ4A013AB has been discontinued. Drum brakes are a dime a dozen, but disc seem to be the holy grail. Can anyone tell me where i can find this part so my ABS light will go off??? Any and all help greatly appreciated.

Thanks! :)

Check Kijiji or other local classified ads for st partouts. Focus SVT or advance trac models may be the same as well but I'm not 100% sure on that... Other than that keep an eye out at junkyards. I am also in the process of putting Mazda 3 front brakes on my 07 st... It is possible the rears may share the same parts as well. Something to consider as Mazda 3s are all over junkyards.

Saw these in the classifieds:

Still not sure why you need a spindle for an ABS light issue...

Yeah not sure either, the ABS parts are part of the hub/bearing assembly and not the stub, iirc:

ABS sensor bolts to the back of the rear spindle. You can see it in that ad I linked. I had one of the screws break off inside the spindle flange before, but knowing how to extract bolts sure helps. That's the only thing I can think of is he has a broken bolt and can't just replace the sensor.

Actually the pns are 98AZ4A013BA (L) and 98AZ4A013AA (R) and were used for all Focus rear disc setups up to 2007 best I can tell.

Good luck
Paul
