ST transmission fluid change

From what I understand the manual transmission on the 16 ST is supposed to hold 1.9 Quarts. When I removed the top transmission plug about a half quart poured out. So I removed the bottom plug and drained the rest. When I went to refill the transmission fluid pumping fluid back into the top plug I was only able to get about 1.5 quarts back in before it started pouring back out.

So is there somewhere else above the top plug to get more transmission fluid back in or am I completely missing something?

Side to side, front of the car was on jack stands but not the back.
I'll have to go back and see if I can get the car level and try again.
